Can these infections cause my machine to lock up?
I've just run an AVG 2011 scan and it detected 2 viruses that I can't remove which are trojanhorse generic19.vjy attached to file winmty.dll and the second one is win32/patched.dx attached to whitelisted file system32/drivers/ipsec.sys. I have problems with other games freezing such as Oblivion and Stalker although they never used to so I think I may have a conflict on my system thats causing it. Far Cry 2 installed and launches fine but it keeps locking up or exiting to the desktop.
